- The useful split turned out to be what belongs where: commits carry what changed and why, issues carry the decision and the follow-ups. An issue that restates the diff is noise, and an agent will happily generate a lot of it.
- Searching before creating matters more with an agent than without one — a small, well-curated backlog is exactly the thing a tool call will cheerfully duplicate.
